This section lists the free tools we host. They help with jobs around screenshots and web rendering: capture a page, preview a page in dark mode, compare two captures, or convert an API request between curl and your language.
What to expect from each tool
Every tool page states three things before you use it:
- The limits. How many requests you can make and how large the input can be.
- The privacy notes. Whether your input stays in your browser or goes to our servers, and what we keep.
- When to use the API instead. The tools are for one-off jobs. For repeated or automated work, the API does the same job with your own settings.
How to choose a tool
- You need one screenshot now. Use a capture tool. For a wider list that includes tools from other vendors, read our roundup of the best free website screenshot tools.
- You are writing code. Use a request converter to turn a curl command into code for your language. Then compare the result with the SDKs and code examples.
- You make social cards. The presets reference lists the sizes for OG and Twitter cards.
From a tool to the API
When a tool does what you need and you want it in your app, the quick start shows the same capture as one API request. Get a free API key to run it. No credit card is needed.
